Henry Clinton Springs III, 65 years old
Henry (Clint) was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 23, 1952 to

Henry Clinton Springs, Jr. and
Dorothy Fowler Springs. Clint suffered a heart attack and passed away at his home in Redwood City,
California on September 26, 2017. He had been a resident of Redwood City for more than 20 years,
loving life in California.
Clint was a graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia in 1974 where he earned a Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting. He enjoyed a career in computer and telecommunications sales for many years
before his retirement. Clint was an avid car enthusiast and always maintained at a minimum of 2
vehicles, which were high end “muscle cars”.
He was considered by all to be a “great guy” to anyone who crossed his path, whether it be
childhood and young adult friends or friends in the San Mateo community. All have a fond memory of
Clint.
Clint is preceded in death by his father, Henry, and his mother, Dorothy, both educators. He is
survived by his sister Stephanie Springs Cole, his brother-in-law Gary S. Cole, and his niece
Mischa Cole and nephew Gary Montgomery Cole. Also surviving are aunts Clarabelle Claiborne and
Blanche Reed; and numerous cousins including Kim Fowler, Jayne Wallace, Denise Seeks, Kay Reed,
Karyn Osborne, and Dan Claiborne.
Henry Clinton soared like an eagle and left us much too soon; we will all miss him dearly.

It saddened me to read of the Homegoing of "Hank" Springs. He enjoyed muscle cars and shared my love for music by Earth, Wind and Fire. I enjoyed riding and driving his silver "Vett". Peace.
