Vinny Napolitano

April 22, 1964 – May 15, 2019

We are deeply saddened to share with you that we lost Vinny on the evening of May 15th and one of the world’s brightest lights went dim.   He courageously battled pancreatic cancer for five months with the love and support of his husband of 31 years Ricky, and many dear friends that he appreciated deeply.   Vinny was a joy, had a wicked sense of humor, loved deeply and had an incredible, infectious laugh.    He will be deeply missed by many.

Vinny spent his youth in Orange County in Southern California and settled with Ricky Sanchez in Half Moon Bay where they lived for their 27 years together with their family of kitties.

Ricky invites each of you to remember Vinny in a way that is the most meaningful to you.   Think of Vinny’s bright spirit at your place of worship, favorite location in nature or as you meditate.  Think of Vinny when you look out at his beloved ocean or rescue that special cat or dog.

If you would like to remember Vinny and support things that were dear to him, you might consider donating to one of these two charities in his memory.   They represent two of the things he loved the most – animals and the ocean.

SF – SPCA (The mission of the San Francisco SPCA is to save and protect animals, provide care and treatment, advocate for their welfare and enhance the human-animal bond).   www.sfspca.org

4Ocean (4Ocean is a global movement actively removing trash from the ocean and coastlines while inspiring individuals to work together for a cleaner ocean, one pound at a time). They do not accept outright donations, but they have very modest items that can be purchased to support their clean-up efforts.  www.4Ocean.org

Thank you all for your kindness and support during this time.   It helped to sustain Vinny during this time and means more to us than you can imagine.
